Kyo Chikutan Kaguya
Kyo Chikutan(bamboo charcoal) functions are to expel smells, kill bacteria, and improve health of facial and body skin). Kaguya are made only on new moon and full moon days with special iron-made kiln in kyoto, Japan. It has been said that the moon and bamboo has a very close relationship in Japan, that new moon and full moon can give special power to the bamboo.
We have many uses for Chikutan such as deodorizing, cooking, and for preparing beverages.
How to use:
Before use, scald with boiling water, and dry it in natural condition.
Put in the fridge for a deodrant.
Put in the oil when you deep-fry for cooking, this slows oxidation of oil.
Put in the beverages and the charcoal will absorb impurities in alcohol or tea for a pure taste.
