The Japa Staff:

hiro

Hiro is the founder of Japa Stuff. He's a surfer, but also an IT nerd. Growing up in a city in Osaka that's very close to Kyoto, Hiro was expoesed to rich Japanese tradition and, of course, great food. From living in California and backpacking all over Europe, Hiro wants to share his "Japan Labu" to the world. This grand project allows him to explore Japan and its culture all over again, and gives him a great excuse to read manga like "Jojo's Bizzare Adventure", "Death Note", "One Piece", and "Fist of the Northern Star", as much as possible, and eat Japanese snacks and drink Ramune while he "researches for the shop".

key

Key was born in Kyoto, and grew up in Osaka, Japan. From years of living in the US of A, he verified to himself that he is a true Japanese and wants to introduce Japa(nese) stuff to all corners the world. He loves Ninja, Samurai, Sushi and Gion and Ponto-cho of Kyoto as any patriotic Kyoto-man should, but he also loves shopping, flea markets, and snacks like Puccho, and Japanese ice creams. Good at finding oddities, and valuable things, one could call him a "Shopping Otaku". Now he is operating Japastuff in Japan as he hunts for awesome products to share his "Japan labu" to the world.

Erika, aka Pink Kong, grew up in Hyogo prefecture before moving to Canada where she kept her "Japan Labu" alive by reading Jump Comics weekly, and laying on the pounds eating shrimp chips and other Japanese candies. She has a background in product design which includes costumes and props where her Japanese influences played a big role in her creations. This is one reason she appreciates the ancient traditional Japanese crafts passed down for generations. She loves to look at these beautiful works of art, but her favorites are the exquisite, detailed mochi flowers she gets to eat and down it with some delicious green tea.
